Who We Are
For more than 45 years, Haslett Child Development Center has been meeting the needs of our community by caring for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in a safe, nurturing environment.
HCDC is a play-based program designed to support and strengthen family life as a unit by providing high-quality childcare and education for young children. Our goal is to encourage and support the total growth of the child.
HCDC uses a developmentally appropriate, researched-based curriculum and methods of assessment that guide individual and group activities. We value education through play and offer sensory based learning experiences to help children make meaningful connections to their world. Classrooms are supplied with a variety of natural, open-ended materials to inspire creativity and aid in the development of physical, social/emotional, cognitive, language and adaptive skills.
In addition to offering a proven academic curriculum, we are committed to helping your child develop important social behaviors such as personal responsibility, patience, integrity, and kindness. It is our desire to instill children with these essential characteristics, so they are equipped with the necessary skills to be successful students and citizens of our community.
